Historical note: Wanderfolk's public release path is now Steam-first. Older update posts may refer to the browser build or earlier desktop plans as they existed when originally published.

Wanderfolk is coming to Steam as a dedicated desktop app.

The desktop version runs in its own window — no browser tabs, no competing processes, no accidental navigation away mid-dungeon. It’s the same game, just given the focus it deserves.

Cloud saves sync seamlessly between the browser version and the desktop app. Start a run in your browser, pick it up in the Steam app, and continue from exactly where you left off. Your progress, your relationships, your inventory — all of it travels with you.

We’re also introducing a credit system for the AI-powered features — the NPC conversations and voice acting that make the characters feel real. Credits ensure those systems remain sustainable as more players join. You’ll have a clear view of your balance and usage, and the game will always tell you before anything costs credits.

More details on Steam timing and credit pricing are coming soon. If you want to stay in the loop, follow Wanderfolk on Steam and keep an eye on these posts. The public launch is now Steam-first, and the browser build is no longer the main entry point.
